I had the privilege of producing a guidebook for the Historic Hixon House Museum, dedicating my time and talents to delve into the rich history of the Hixon family and their significant contributions to La Crosse, Wisconsin. This volunteer project not only involved thorough research into the house's history and the Hixon family's legacy but also gave me the unique opportunity to photograph the house, granting me access to "behind the scenes" areas. Additionally, I took on the layout for the book, contributing to every facet of its creation. Upon completion, I donated the rights to the museum, and the guidebook is now available in their gift shop. All proceeds from sales directly support the museum's conservation efforts. It was an honor to contribute to this cause and provide a valuable resource that aids in generating income for the museum's ongoing preservation.
